Purpose and Reason:

Updating of standards pertaining to requirements for immunizations and testing of communicable diseases for child care workers in preschools and students at any preschool or school in grades Kindergarten-12 and students entering colleges and universities in Rhode Island. These amendments also incorporate the requirements previously contained in Rules and Regulations Pertaining to Immunization and Testing for Communicable Diseases for Students Entering Colleges or Universities. The proposed regulations listed an implementation date of 1 August 2014 for certain immunization requirements. However, based on comments received at the Public Hearing, these changes have been delayed until 1 August 2015.
